akumi Takahashi has added another line to an already unmatched Suzuka Eight Hours record, taking his eighth victory in the Japanese endurance classic as Honda HRC claimed a fifth consecutive win at the event.
Takahashi shared the victorious #30 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP entry with Jonathan Rea and Somkiat Chantra, completing 188 laps in 7h54m19.425 secs, winning by 1m34.280 secs to give Honda its 32nd Suzuka Eight Hours victory.
Katsuyuki Nakasuga and Jack Miller finished second, with Markus Reiterberger and Michael van der Mark rounding out the podium.
Dan Linfoot finished sixth and Khairul Idham Pawi ninth; both Alpinestars riders.
